Congress appoints senior leaders as incharge for 7 Gujarat assembly seats by-polls

Ahmedabad: Congress party has deputed senior leaders for over-all supervision of the party campaign for assembly by-polls on the 7 seats in Gujarat which have been vacated due to resignation of its own MLAs.
A senior party leader today said that former GPCC president Arjun Modhwadiya has been given the responsibility for Radhanpur by-poll. The north Gujarat seat has been vacated due to resignation of Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor.
Other seats and the senior leaders who have been given the responsibilities are-
Morwa Hadaf- former minister Tushar Chaudhary,
Lunawada- former minister cum ex-GPCC president Bharatsinh Solanki,
Amraiwadi- AICC general secretary and Madhya Pradesh Congress
in-charge Deepak Babaria,
Tharad- former GPCC President Siddharth Patel,
Bayad- Senior Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Madhusudan Mistry
and Kheralu- former Loksabha MP Jagdish Thakor.
