Gandhinagar:Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has appointed Shishpal S Rajput as the first chairman of the Gujarat State Yog Board

He has also appointed the four non-government category members of the board who are Bhanu Kumar N Chauhan, Prakash P Tipre, Dr. Chandrasinh G Jhala and Himaben M Parikh.

As the government category members of the board representatives of the Additional Chief Secretaries of Finance, Health and Family Welfare and Education departments and secretary and Commissioner of Spots and Youth and Cultural Affairs department have been included in the board.

A notification to this effect has been issued by the sports, youth and cultural affairs department.

Notably CM Rupani had on the occasion of the fifth
international Yoga day on June 21 this year made the announcement regarding setting up of the Yoga board.

The board would work for the promotion of yoga across
Gujarat with the motto of healthy mind and healthy body for all the citizens of the state.
