Ahmedabad: Congress leader and Taluka president of Dhari in Amreli, the home district of LoP Paresh Dhanani, Paresh Patani today joined BJP with more than 50 of his supporters.

Patani who is deemed close to the Dhari Congress MLA J V Kakadiya joined the saffron brigade during an event in the Dhari Marketing yard.

Union Minister Parshottam Rupala and Gujarat minister Dharmendrasinh Jadeja were also present on the occasion.

Patani said that he was joining BJP due to the nationalist issues being taken up by the union government including scrapping of article 370.
