Bhanvad in Devbhhoomi Dwarka gets over 9 inches of rain

Gandhinagar: Bhanvad in Devbhoomi Dwarka has seen over nine inches of rain till 8 pm today while a total 197 talukas in all 33 districts have recorded rain even as the met department has issued heavy to extremely heavy rain warning under the impact of the low pressure area of Saurashtra.
JamJodhpur has seen 161 mm, Khambhaliya 155 mm, Kalyanpur 145mm, Lodhika 129 mm, Jam kandorana 104 mm, Jodia 102 mm, Manawadar 97 mm, Tankara 95 mm, Gandhidham 94 mm.
According to the met bulletin the synoptic situation and heavy rain and other warnings are as follows –

DAY 1(29th September): Heavy to very heavy rains very likely at isolated places with extremely isolated heavy falls in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Patan; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Rajkot, Porbandar, Morbi and Dwarka. Heavy to very heavy rains very likely in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha and Mehsana; in the
districts of Saurashtra namely Jamnagar, Junagadh and Kutch. Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Ahmedabad and Anand; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Surendranagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath and in Diu.
DAY 2(30th September ): Heavy to very heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the district of North Gujarat region namely Aravalli; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli and Bhavnagar. Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda and Ahmedabad; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Surendranagar and Botad.
DAY 3(01st October): Heavy to very heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the district of North Gujarat region namely Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod and Mahisagar.
Synoptic situation:
Yesterday’s low pressure area now lies as a well-marked low pressure area over Gulf of Kutch & neighbourhood, the associated cyclonic circulation now extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move east-northeastwards and concentrate into a depression over north Gujarat during next 24 hours.
Wind will be 40 to 50 kmph from southeasterly to southerly direction over north Gujarat coast and from southerly to southwesterly direction over south Gujarat coast. Sea will be rough to very rough with waves from southeasterly to southerly direction over north Gujarat coast and from southerly to southwesterly direction over south Gujarat coast from 29th September to 30th September .
Fishermen are advised not to venture along and off Gujarat coasts from 29th September to 30th September.
Port Warning:
Keep hoisted signal LCS-III at all the ports of north and south Gujarat coast.
