Gujarat ACB nabs 4 including lady CDPO, woman Sarpanch along with husband for taking bribe

Gandhinagar: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat police today nabbed red handed four people including a lady Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and a woman Sarpanch along with her husband taking bribe from different places in the state.
Apart from this the ACB also laid a trap to nab a police constable Bharatsinh H Zala and his aide in Jivanpur of Aravalli district headquarter Modasa for taking bribe of Rs 2 lakh from a man threatening him to falsely implicate in a prohibition case. Both of them however fled with the money during the trap. Attempts were on to nab them
Assistant Director of the ACB D P Chudasama said that in another trap in Jasdan town of Rajkot district CDPO Rekhaben C Joshi was nabbed taking a bribe of 6800 from Anganwadi workers. She had sought a monthly amount from over 20 Angawadi workers for allowing them to work without any difficulty.
An accountant in the office of the administrator of cooperative society in Ahmedabad, H B Patel (55) who had sought a bribe of Rs 5000 from a man for including the name of a man in the ownership register with regard to purchase of a new house. He was nabbed red handed from his office in Elisbridge area here.
In another trap the woman Sarpanch of Sarigam village panchayat in Umergam taluka of Valsad district Hansaben S Kobhiya and her husband Shailesh R Kohhiya were nabbed from her office taking a bribe of Rs 50 thousand from a woman contractor for passing a resolution in the panchayat regarding the work done by her.
