Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has given bona fide industry status to logistic, IT, IT-enabled services and mining sectors. With this, the units in these sectors will not need to take non agricultural (NA) permission and also will not need to need advance permission to purchase agriculture land.
These details were shared by State revenue minister Shri Kaushik Patel. He said the decision has been taken in order to create more jobs in IT, IT-enabled, logistic and mining sectors.
Patel said the companies in these sector will easily get NA permission with this decision. If agriculture land is purchased for bonafide industry, the activity will be considered as’ bonafide industrial purpose’ and deemed-NA permission will be granted by government. Therefore advance approval will not be needed and setting up an industry will become easier. After starting the industry, the units can apply for deemed-NA certificate at related district collector office. This will bring administrative ease during primary phase of setting up an industry.
Patel said, whenever some land is going to be used for bonafide industrial purpose, prior permission of related collector is not required as per the revenue adhiniyam section 65(B) and Ganot dhara section 63AA. Collector needs to be informed about utilization of such land within 30-day period.
