Gandhinagar: Gujarat Police have arrested a woman from Kutch and her male friend Surjit Bhau, alleged co-conspirators in BJP leader Jayanti Bhanushali’s murder from Uttar Pradesh.

Accused woan and Bhau are accused of putting Chhabil Patel, Bhanushali’s political rival, in contact with sharp-shooters who executed murder in moving train.

Ashish Bhatia, additional director general of police (CID-crime and railways) of Gujarat said the couple were rounded up from Allahbad in Uttar Pradesh by a police party on Monday. Bhatia said they are in process to secure their transit remand to bring the accused to Gujarat.
