ACB in North Gujarat nabs Sarpanch red-handed taking bribe for allowing illegal construction of house on barren land

Himmatnagar: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat police today nabbed red handed a Sarpanch here taking bribe of Rs 10 thousand from a man to allow him to illegally construct a house and cow-shed on a barren/unused land in Moti Demai village under Himmatnagar taluka of Sabarkantha district.
ACB Assistant Director D P Chudasama said that Sarpanch of the village, Amit J Chamar was nabbed on the basis of a secret complaint by the man from road-side near post-office here.
He had earlier paid Rs 25 thousand to him for giving him verbal permission to construct a house on a barren land in the village.
