Shut JNU for two years and then open it renamed as Subhash Chandra Bose Univ: Subramaniam Swamy in Gujarat

Ahmedabad:    Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy today reiterated that the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi should be shut for two years to “clean it up” and then be reopened with a changed name.
Talking to newsmen here on the sidelines of an event in a private university in Thaltej area here Swamy said that the government would have to take a major step and the JNU should be shut for two years and after that, it should be renamed as Subhash Chandra Bose University.

‘The good students can be shifted to the Delhi University and other universities while those involved in hooliganism should be ousted. Two years would be enough to clean up the university and then it should be renamed as Subhash Chandra Bose University as there are so many institutions named after Nehru and it is time to rename institutions on the name of others.

‘Subhash Chandra Bose is a nationalist and the name would have a positive impact on students. Why should everything be named after Nehru,’ he said.

He also claimed that terror elements and external forces were supporting the anti CAA/NRC protests.
