One injured in sloth bear attack in Polo – Vijaynagar forest of North Gujarat

Idar: A person was injured during an attack by wild sloth bear in interior area of Vijaynagar-Polo forest. Victim Maganbhai Modiya is retired Army jawan. The incident of attack took place near Kanthariya village where Maganbhai resides. Maganbhai was attacked when he was collecting grass to feed his cattle. His son Lakshman, also an Army man rushed to rescue his father from grip of wild bear. Timely intervention of son, saved Maganbhai’s life. Maganbhai was first taken to Vijaynagar based government hospital and later transferred to Idar civil hospital. He has suffered injuries on face, hand, chest and back. He is recovering well.
