Ahmedabad: Upcoming Gujarati comedy movie, Golkeri had its first trailer launch on YouTube which showcases parents of the protagonist, who are disturbed by the breakup of their son and try to bring the two together. Launched on February 6, the trailer has attracted more than 5 lakh views within a span of four days and is trending at no. 6 on YouTube.

The movie traces the journey of four characters in the course of one night. Sahil and Harshita end their perfect relationship of two years overnight while Sahil’s parents try to bring the couple together, without quite understanding the concept of breaking up.

The question which remains unanswered until the film releases is – Will the parents’ concern cross the line and turn into interference? Or will they triumph in explaining to the children that a relationship is just like ‘Golkeri’ –A sweet-sour traditional Gujarati pickle. The taste only gets better with time.

Malhar Thakkar and Manasi Gohil star as Sahil and Harshita respectively whereas famous television star Vanadana Pathak and her fellow co-actor, Sachin Khedekar, will be seen playing the role of Sahil’s parents.

The film is produced by Parthiv and Mansi Gohil and is directed by Viral Shah. The movie has a song, ‘Soni Gujarat Ni’ which is composed and sung by famous Bollywood composer and Punjabi singer, Mika Singh along with Parthiv Gohil.

The film is slated to release on 28th of February, 2020 and though it is Viral Shah’s first movie as director, it is the first film to be produced by Parthiv Gohil.
