– More Gujarat Congress MLAs reach Jaipur as per party’s instruction, however Kapraada ST seat (Valsad, South Gujarat) MLA Jitu Chaudhary is believed out of reach for Congress.
– Sabar Dairy in North Gujarat increases milk procurement pay by Rs. 10 (cow milk) and Rs. 20 (buffalo milk) per kg/fat benefiting large number of milk producers.
– Gujarat Congress suspends five MLAs who have resigned ahead of Rajya Sabha election.
– Teaching in schools, colleges, pre-schools, coaching classes suspended from today for two weeks across Gujarat as preventive action against coronavirus threat. The State has so far not a single confirmed positive case of coronavirus.
– Five assembly seats – Gadhada, Abdasa, Dhari, Limbdi and Dang declared vacant as MLAs of these seats have resigned: Secretary, Gujarat Assembly.
– Sakkarbaug zoo in Junagadh, SP zoo park at Statue of Unity Devaliya and Ambardi safari park in Gir to remain closed for visitors till March 29.
– In another incident of a moving car catching fire in Amdavad, a person on driving seat burns to ashes. This fresh incident took place near Radhe Upvan on Mahemdavad road. Recently, another such incident had happened near Indira bridge in which person on driving seat was dead.
– Five Congress MLAs have resigned in last two days while assembly session is on. Speaker Rajendra Trivedi today announced names of MLAs who stepped down in assembly and confirmed that all five resignations were accepted.
– Morari Bapu pauses ongoing Ram Katha in Rajula for 15 days over coronavirus alert. Decision on when resume Ram Katha function will be taken after March 29. The State government had yesterday appealed religious heads and organizations to avoid holding large gatherings for now.
– Opposition Congress today demanded adjournment of assembly session till march 29 over coronavirus situation. Ruling BJP opposed this demand. Gujarat Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi turned down the proposal. Gujarat has so far not a single confirmed positive coronavirus case.
– Yes Bank today said it will resume full banking services from March 18, 2020, 18:00 hours. Customers will be also able to access all our services including all digital services and platforms.
– Enforcement Directorate officials today said ADAG Group’s Anil Ambani has filed an adjournment application and has sought more time to appear after ED summoned him in connection with its probe against Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor and others
