Ahmedabad: Khadia police in Ahmedabad has booked 40 persons under IPC sections 269 and 271 for holding procession during Jantacurfew.

According to police commissioner Ashish Bhatia, those booked are named in FIR and they are from Raval sheri, Bhavni pol, Fafdani pol and Parvadi ni pol etc areas.

Dozens of people had gathered yesterday post 5 pm in Khadia area and started moving in procession style, very much killing the purpose of JantaCurfew and social isolation. Video of Khadia gathering and procession had gone viral on social media platform.

Was waiting to guage the percentage of success of today's Janta Curfew till the end of the day.
