Covid19 suspect flees from isolation ward of hospital in Vadodara, FIR lodged

Vadodara: A suspected corona patient from Tandalja area in Vadodara fled from isolation ward at GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Gotri. An offense was registered against him at Gorwa police station.
Accused Ali Hussain Siddiqi (21) from Alifnagar in Tandalja area of city was admitted to the hospital as an indoor patient as suspected case of Covid19. His samples were taken and medical report was in process. He was kept in isolation ward under quarantine.On 1st April, at around 4.30 pm he escaped the place.
Ali has been booked under IPC sections 269, 270, 271, 188 and The Epidemic Disease Act 1897 section 3.
Ali was nabbed from his relative’s house and returned to the hospital by police after hours long search by four teams of JP Road and Gorwa police stations.
