Gandhinagar: Year 1996 batch IAS officer, Mukesh Kumar, Vice Chairman and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board has been transferred as new Municipal Commissioner of Amdavad Municipal Corporation replacing Vijay Nehra. Mukesh Kumar was appointed as incharge municipal commissioner of AMC on May 5. Mukesh Kumar has served as AMC Commissioner in the past too.

Year 2001 batch IAS Vijay Nehra has been transferred to the post of Commissioner of Rural Development and Secretary, Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development department in Gandhinagar relieving Manoj Aggarwal of the additional charge of that post. Nehra had on May 5 tweeted he was going to self quarantine. On May 9 he had said he was tested Covid19 negative and was soon going to join the fight against Covid19 pandemic.

2003 batch IAS Avantika Singh Aulakh on her return from long term training abroad has been appointed Vice Chairman and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board replacing Mukesh Kumar.
