Environment clearance to Adani’s Lakhpat cement plant

Bhuj: Adani Group’s proposed cement project in border taluka Lakhpat in Kutch district has recieved environment clearance. Adani Cementation Ltd’s proposed project ‘Lakhpat Cement Work’ will have its plants including 99 MW captive power plant and 900 kld desalination plant will come up at Lakhpat taluka’s Maldo, Mudhvay Kapurashi and Koriyani over 454.27 hectare land including 190.23 hectare land for cement plant. 17 families will need shifting while 154 families will be affected. In total 131 families in 3 villages will be given compensation.
