Surat strongman CR Patil takes over as 13th President of Gujarat unit of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party

Gandhinagar: 65-year old CR Patil, a 3-term Lok Sabha member has today taken over as 13th Gujarat BJP President today.
On the first day of holy month of Shravan, Surat strongman CR Patil arrived at State BJP headquarters ‘Kamalam’ from circuit house in capital Gandhinagar in same car with outgoing BJP chief Jitu Vaghani.
Patil took charge of office of State BJP chief in presence of Vaghani, Chief Minister Rupani, Dy CM Nitin Patel, BJP National Joint General Secretary (organization) V.Satish among other leaders.
Patil’s appointment was announced yesterday by party’s national president JP Nadda.
CR’s wife, son, daughter in law and other family members were also present on this occasion. Good number of supporters of Patil were present from Surat at the State party headquarters to witness elevation of their leader.
