ACB Gujarat nabs Talati Mantri for demanding and receiving Rs. 10,000 bribe

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team in North Gujarat has nabbed Talati cum Mantri Girish Patel, a class-3 employee of Gujarat government for demanding and accepting Rs. 10,000 bribe from an applicant. Patel is Talati of Androkha group gram panchayat in Vijaynagar taluka of Sabarkantha district in North Gujarat.
Accused Girish Patel had demanded Rs. 10,000 bribe from an applicant who wanted to add name in Vaarsai and make Pedhinamu. However, applicant, an aware citizen instead of succumbing to bribe demand, contacted ACB. A trap was today arranged by Inspector CD Vazara under supervision of AK Parmar in which accused Talati cum Mantri was caught red-handed accepting Rs. 10,000 bribe. DeshGujarat
