Ahmedabad: Standing Committee meeting of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today took three major decisions which are following.

➖ Advance booking for use of community halls can be cancelled without any penalty till 31st of December this year in view of coronavirus epidemic situation.

➖Several new flyovers have been given names:

A railway over bridge in Ranip area has been named as Atmanirbhar Gujarat railway over bridge

A flyover bridge on Ashram road over Income Tax cross roads has been named as late Arun Jaitley flyover bridge

A bridge in Bapunagar Dinesh chamber area has been named as Maharana Pratap over bridge

A flyover bridge, the longest in the city at Anjali char rasta has been named as Sushma Swaraj flyover bridge

A flyover bridge in Hatkeshwar char rasta area has been named as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj flyover bridge

➖ Slaughter houses operated by Municipal Corporation will remain shut during 15 August to 23 August 2020 period in view of Paryushan festival of Jain community.
