Five members of Bohra community family in Dahod commit suicide

Dahod: A business man committed suicide along with his wife and three daughters by consuming poison in Dahod town of East-Central Gujarat, police said today.
In-charge inspector of Dahod town police station H P Karan said that the bodies of Saifi Barjarwala (42), his 35 year old wife and three daughters (a twin aged 16 and the third aged seven years) was found in his residence in Sujaibagh area of the town this morning.
‘The possibility of his taking this extreme step due to financial problems can’t be ruled out. The detailed investigation is on,’he informed.
Saifibhai’s relatives said, a dispute over gold with sister of Saifibhai’s wife was responsible for stress to family. Saifibhai’s wife’s sister was torturing him over gold taken from her, said Saifibhai’s father.
Saifi, a native of Alirajpur district in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, had settled in Dahod 10 years ago. He owned a factory that produced disposable glasses and other such items.

-Bodies of the daughters and wife were found on a mattress in the room while the man’s body was found in the doorway of the kitchen.
