Ahmedabad: Four including a cop have been detained by Ahmedabad crime branch from CTM area of city for carrying MD (mephedrone) drugs worth Rs 1 crore. Firoze, an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Danilimda Police Station is accused of working as courier for MD drug. One of accused Shahezad, held in this case had contested general election in year 2017. He was later nabbed in 2019 in drug case. Accused would bring drug from Mumbai. ASI would sit in car in police uniform for smooth trafficking. More details are awaited.
