Ahmedabad: Cricket fans across the world are set for a high-voltage finish to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 as defending champions India will take on New Zealand in the final on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The summit clash will begin at 7 pm IST, with a grand closing ceremony scheduled before the match.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that global pop icon Ricky Martin will headline the closing ceremony, adding a musical spectacle to the tournament finale. Along with Ricky Martin, Indian music stars Sukhbir and Falguni Pathak will also perform live before the final, turning the evening into a grand entertainment spectacle.

The closing ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm IST, while stadium gates will open at 3:30 pm to allow fans to witness the performances ahead of the title match scheduled at 7 pm IST. Event organisers said the performances by Sukhbir and Falguni Pathak will add a strong Indian musical flavour to the finale of the global tournament being co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

India entered the final after defeating England by seven runs in the semifinal at Wankhede Stadium, becoming the team with the most appearances in T20 World Cup finals. New Zealand secured their place in the summit clash with a convincing nine-wicket win over South Africa at Eden Gardens.

The 2026 edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup featured 20 teams and more than 50 matches across venues in India and Sri Lanka, drawing huge global viewership through television and digital platforms.
