363 illegal power connections disconnected in Narol, Vatva, Isanpur areas

Ahmedabad: In a mega search operation, a private power company’s teams jointly with city police unearthed large number of illegal power connections in city’s Narol, Vatva, Isanpur etc areas. As many as 363 lines were disconnected, 5 FIRs were filled, 500 kg cable was seized and 7 persons operating into illegal power connection were nabbed. Some of the State Reserve Police (SRP) jawans accompanying private power company staff were wearing riot gears while doing this operation in communally sensitive areas. In the recent past, similar operation was also conducted in city’s Juhapura area.
