BJP leading on all 8 seats in Gujarat by-polls at noon

Gandhinagar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is enjoying comfortable leads in 7 of 8 seats that went for by-election on November 3. At 12 noon, BJP candidates are ahead of rival Congress candidates on all 8 seats. Congress candidate was ahead in only one Morbi seat in the morning. However close fight witnessed BJP lead of over 1000 votes at noon.

While Congress headquarters in Paldi area of Ahmedabad is having deserted look, BJP workers have started reaching State party headquarters Kamalam in Gandhinagar for celebrations. Even in Morbi seat, as on 11.15 am, Congress candidate’s lead was reducing. However these are just trends and result is still in progress. Out of 8 seats where BJP candidates are leading, 7 are showing straight fight between BJP and Congress. However in Abdasa, an independent candidate Hanif Padhiyar has won over 6,000 votes (as at 11.20 am) and harmed Congress candidate’s chances of victory. DeshGujarat
