Akota – Dandia Bazar solar bridge project likely to complete in a month

Vadodara: Solar panel laying work over Akota – Dandiya Bajar bridge in Vadodara has been comleted. The entire project will be completed in next one month after installation of compact substation is over. In all, 3,024 solar panels have been laid over this 220 meter long bridge. Expected generation of power through this arrangement will be 3,000 to 4,000 units per day and 14.35 lakh units annually that may result into saving of Rs. 1 crore power bill for Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC). A 983 kw capacity solar generation facility has been set up at a cost of Rs. 11.36 crore. VMC will transfer solar power generated to Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (MGVCL) and get rebate on MGVCL electricity bills. DeshGujarat
