AMC run SVP hospital to resume services of other medical branches as Covid19 situation eases

Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) run Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, popularly known as SVP hospital will resume offering services of its various medical branches after functioning as Covid19-only facility for months.
According to SVP statement, the hospital was declared as Covid designated hospital and therefore the services of other medical branches were suspended. So far the hospital has treated over 12,000 covid patients. Due to decrease in number of covid patients, SVP has decided to resume medical services in the branches of general medicine, general surgery, Gynaecology, orthopaedic, paediatric, skin, psychiatry, TB and super specialist departments such as cardiology, cardiothoracic, neuromedicine, neurosurgery, gastro medicine, gastro surgery, rheumatology, plastic surgery, endocrinology, paediatric surgery through OPD and Indoor treatment with effect from December 22 in the first phase. Emergency services and MAA/PM-JAY services will not be resumed at this stage. The hospital in a note said that it has taken care of requirement of separation between Covid and non Covid sections and planned a flow design for the same.
