Mahesana: Tarabh Rabari community’s Gurugadi Mahant Baldevgiri Maharaj passed away today. This is a sad news for lakhs of Rabari community and other devotees of Valinath Dham. Located at Tarabh village in Visnagar taluka of Mahesana district in North Gujarat, Valinath Akhada is considered Guru gadi of Rabari community. Health of Baldevgiri bapu, Mahant of this gadi was not well since last days. He was shifted to Ahmedabad for medical treatment and hospitalized there. However after his health further deteriorated, he was brought back to Tarabh. An old temple at Tarabh is believed centuries old. Guru gadi was established here by first Mahant Viramgiri maharaj. Rs. 25 crore Shiv temple project, conceived by Baldevgiri Maharaj is underway and in progress. Laghu Mahant Shri Jayramgiri Maharaj is likely to succeed the gadi.
