Jamnagar to have a State level Sports Museum named after Jam Ranjitsinh: Rupani

Jamnagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while speaking here today made announcement of government’s plan to set up a State level Sports Museum in Jamnagar.
Rupani addressing a function here said, ‘the government will set up a Sports Museum in Jamnagar and it will be named after Ranji Trophy fame Sir Ranjit Sinhji.’
Rupani said the land Saurashtra has given famous sports persons like Dilipsinh, Vinu Mankad, Ajay Jadej, Salim Durani and more. An international level, ultra modern museum will conserve memories of all sport persons of Gujarat in order to encourage thr youths. All golden moments of sports in Gujarat will be showcased in this museum.
Rupani performed Shilanyas for rs. 198 crore flyover, the biggest in Saurashtra as per him. He said, ‘when demand for such a costly and long bridge arrived in Gandhinagar, initially there was reluctance, but Jamnagar made its case strongly that the city wants such long bridge only to avoid traffic from seven connecting roads. This will be the longest bridge in Saurashtra region with size of 3.5 km.
The Chief Minister also dedicated a modern mid-day meal kitchen created at a cost of Rs. 9 crore by Reliance Foundation and ISKCON for as many as 25,000 children of Jamnagar city and district in order to supply them pure, nutritious and good food. DeshGujarat
