Gujarat govt shares more details of upcoming phase of Covid19 vaccination

Update: The citizen, those above 60 and those comorbid and between 45 to 59, will need to pay Rs. 150 for one dose of Covid19 vaccination in private hospital in addition to Rs. 100 administrative charge. Thus the total cost of one dose of vaccination will be Rs. 250. Doses of vaccine in government hospitals will be available for free of cost for these two groups (60+ and 45-59+Comorbidity) for whom vaccination will start from 1st March. Patel said, in all, Gujarat would have 2,050 government and 534 private-run vaccination centres.

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today shared more details of upcoming phase of vaccination, starting from 1st March, under which, all those above 60, and those in 45 to 60 age group with comorbidity will be administered vaccine against Covid19.
According to a briefing by the government today: Those 60 and above on 1st January 2022 and those in range of 45-60 age with comorbidity (Serious illness including heart failure with hospital admission in last one year, ventricular assist device wearing persons, congenital (by birth) heart disease, hyper tension-diabetes-angina combination, stroke, kidney disease, kidney-lever-stem cell transplant, cancer condition, sickle cell disease, bone marrow failure, thalassemia major, HIV infection etc – 20 types of illnesses, any one of them if certified by registered medical practitioners, a person will be considered comorbid). Suitable persons can register on Cowin2.0 portal in advance for vaccination at GCVC (government) and PCVC (private). In the first week 500 centres will be available. The number of centres will be increased gradually, details of which will be on the websites. There’s a provision of two types of registration. Using one mobile phone, maximum four persons can register. Those who can’t register online can register on-site. There’s no income limit criteria effective for vaccination. Rs. 100 processing fee will be required to be paid for vaccination at private facility, for which an online system will be introduced. Certificate of vaccination will be available online.
