Gujarat govt nod for Chotila ropeway project

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today said it has given approval to a ropeway project in Chotila. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani made this announcement. He said Rajkot – Gandhinagar highway is being converted into six-lane and if the people of Chotila extend their cooperation, a by-pass road will be possible there. Chotila Mountain is around 1250 feet high and is located around 40 miles away from Rajkot, and around 50 miles away from Ahmedabad. Atop the hill is temple of Goddess Chamunda which is visited by thousands of people. Once materialized, the ropeway will be fourth in Gujarat after Pavagadh, Ambaji and Girnar. DeshGujarat
