COVID testing mandatory at the entry points for travelers entering into Surat: SMC

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has made COVID testing mandatory at the entry-points for all the passengers entering into the city and they will be compulsorily quarantined if they have any symptoms of Covid-19 such as fever, cough and cold, as informed by SMC in a press-note dated 24th April 2021.
In the press-statement, SMC has appealed outsiders to refrain from travelling and entering into Surat if they have fever, cough or other symptoms, considering the increased transmission of Covid-19 during past few days due to outsiders entering into the city having Covid-19 symptoms. Many people from Saurashtra region are travelling and entering into Surat nowadays. Anyone having even the minor symptoms must not travel and enter into the city, as requested by SMC into the press-note.
