Surat: Hazira based Arcelormittal company will have a Covid care centre with oxygen supply facility for patients within its industrial unit. Work has started to set up a 1,000 beds covid care centre at industrial unit of Arcelormittal in Hazira. Initially around 250 beds are likely to be available for covid patients most probably by tomorrow itself, said MLA Harsh Sanghvi who is part of the efforts. The industrial unit has gas based oxygen plant from where transport of oxygen is not possible and therefore a decision has been taken to set up a covid treatment facility with oxygen beds inside the industrial unit itself. The district administration has already started efforts to make Covid care facility functional at soonest. The initiative became possible after the State government discussed the matter with ArcellorMittal officials. DeshGujarat
