Gujarat Govt to distribute Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicines:CM

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has encouraged the State Health and AYUSH Departments to more use of ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines to win the war against coronavirus Covid-19 and increase people’s immunity against the global pandemic in the state.
Presiding over the state-level Core Committee meeting here today, he directed the administration to order and distribute about 60,000 kg of ‘Amrit peya Ukala’ and ‘Sanshaman-vati’ and 10-lakh dozes of Homeopathic Arsenicum albumin-30 medicines.
Considering the significant contribution of Ayurvedic medicines in boosting the immune system and many good results obtained from these medicines, the Chief Minister of Gujarat has shown his commitment to win the war against Corona by using Ayurveda-Homeopathic medicines in this second wave of Corona infection spread.
As per this decision of the Chief Minister, for 33 districts of the state, the state government shall get 29700 kg of ‘Amrut peya’ drink, 30,000 kg of ‘Sansham Vati’ and a total of 10 lakh doses of Arsenicum album-30 from various organizations and central government.
As per the guidance given by the Chief Minister to strengthen the distribution system of these Ayurvedic medicines up to the district-taluka and village level, a strategy has been formulated to distribute it to the masses through Talatis, Sarpanchs, Asha-worker sisters and service organizations.
The use of ayurvedic medicines to boost immunity has increased as it has become very essentially accepted worldwide to boost immunity of corona infected patients along with their medical treatment.
In the first wave of Corona in Gujarat, with the guidance of the Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, 90 lakh families have been provided with the doses of Arsenicum album, 70,000 kg of ‘Amrut pey’ drink and 85,000 kg of ‘Sansham Vati’.
Across the state, from 6 March 2020 till 22 April 2021, these herbs have been distributed, in which a successful experiment has been carried out by distributing 10.77 crore ‘Amrut pey’ drink, 82.70 lakh ‘Sansham Vati’, and 6 crore 35 lakh Arsenicum album-30 to beneficiaries in order to improve their immunity.
