Central University of Gujarat’s new campus construction likely to begin in November 2021

Vadodara: Construction of the new campus of the Central University of Gujarat near Vadodara is likely to begin from November 2021.
The Government has allotted 100-acre land near Kundhela and confirmed the amount of Rs 435 crores for the construction of the campus.
Plantation of around 3000 trees has started here prior to construction. Central University of Gujarat is currently functioning in Gandhinagar which will be shifted here after the campus is ready.
The campus construction will be completed till 2023 and the university will fully start functioning from 2024, as per the planning.
The amenities including hostel, academic block, servant quarters, laboratory and library will be made available in the new campus.
Total 1200 students are studying in the university as of now which will be increased to 2500 after the university begins functioning in Vadodara. Currently, total 46 courses of PhD and Post-Graduation are run under 11 faculties at the university. DeshGujarat
