PM likely to dedicate Somnath Walkway at Prabhas Patan virtually

Prabhas Patan: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi is likely to virtually dedicate the 1.25 km long walk-way besides the beach in Somnath, museum and renovation of the Ahilyabai Temple. He is likely to perform virtual foundation stone laying of Parvati Mandir to be built at cost of Rs 21 crores in Prabhas Patan in upcoming days.
The walk-way is built under the Prasad Yojana of the central government at a cost of Rs 45 from Sagar Darshan Guest House to Triveni Sangam. It has two entry gates and a painting gallery representing Indian culture. It has the sea on one side and Somnath Temple on the other. The Parvati Mandir will be built out of white marble near old Chopati and current Yagna Mandap in the Somnath Temple.
The preparation of the program of virtual dedication and foundation stone laying ceremony at hands of PM Modi are being done by the administration and Shri Somnath Trust. A rehearsal of the procession to be held on this day was also conducted.
