5 lakh Ujjawala connections, Rs. 780 crore to municipalities for daily drinking water supply: Rupani

Junagadh: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani speaking at the State level function of Independence Day here today made announcement that as many as 5 lakh new gas connections will be given to poor people in the State in the second phase of Ujjawala Yojana. He said the State government will give Rs. 15 crore assistance to major municipalities and therefore total Rs. 780 crore assistance for start of daily drinking water supply facility. He also announced increase of subsidy from existing Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000 for construction of farm-side godown under existing Mukhyamanatri Pak Sangrah Structure Yojana. The Chief Minister also re-iterated his earlier announced initiative of giving star rating to municipalities based on their performance. DeshGujarat
