ACB Gujarat nabs Talati cum Mantri in Rs. 6,000 bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a Talati cum mantri of Umbhel gram panchayat, inchare of Parab gram panchayat in Kamrej taluka of Surat district.
Accused Mahesh Thakorbhai patel is class-3 staffer of State government. He is accused of seeking and receiving Rs. 6,000 bribe at Parab gram panchayat office.
According to ACB, complainant and his brother own four plots in Shiv Eco Industries, section-1. Talati Mahesh Patel had demanded Rs. 6,000 bribe for assessment of fourth and floor floors and cover them under taxation and also for inclusion of complainant’s friend’s name in a property.
As a complainant didn’t want to pay bribe he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and accused was nabbed while receiving bribe. DeshGujarat
