Saurashtra cricketer Avi Barot passes away due to heart attack

Rajkot: Young Cricketer of Saurashtra Avi Barot passed away at the age of 29 years due to heart attack last night.
Saurashtra Cricket Association Chairman Jaydev Shah paid tribute to him. He was considered as a good batsman and wicketkeeper. Former under-19 captain Avi Barot was part of the Saurashtra team who won the Ranji Trophy in 2019-20 after defeating West Bengal team. He had represented Saurashtra in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and made 122 runs in 53 balls. He was originally from Ahmedabad, but played cricket for Saurashtra.
He played 38 first class matches, 38 list-A matches and 20 domestic T20 matches during his career. He had made 1547 runs in first class matches, 1030 runs in list A matches and 717 in domestic T20 matches. He had played 21 Ranji Trophy Matches, 17 list A matches and 11 domestic T20 matches for Saurashtra. DeshGujarat
