Banas Dairy proposes to start Sainik School

Palanpur: The Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd has submitted an application to the Union Ministry of Defence seeking permission for setting up a Sainik School in the state.
If the proposed project receives approval, it will be the second Sainik school in the state after the one at Balachadi near Jamnagar setup in 1961. Banas Dairy is searching for the land for this project near Palanpur. Banas Dairy is to allocate Rs 20 crores for this project. The sainik school will be set up by Galbhabhai Patel Charitable Trust operated by Banas Dairy, as per the chairman of Banas Dairy Shankarbhai Chaudhary.
