JCB to commission its Gujarat plant early next year

Gandhinagar: A new factory of JCB India Ltd will be commissioned early next year in Central Gujarat.
Deepak Shetty, CEO and MD JCB India Ltd while speaking here today in pre-Vibrant summit event here said the Gujarat plant will be inaugurated early next year. He said it will give employment to 1,200 young engineers. Foundation stone for proposed plant was laid in 2019 in Vadodara.
He said these young engineers are undergoing training and skilling programme with best of AR, VR latest manufacturing technology through 4.0 concept.
‘We aspire to have 50:50 per cent diversity ratio from the first day itself at our Gujarat plant in line with our gender diverse eco-system aproach. Our factory in Jaipur has 34 per cent women who work on the shop floor,’ he said.
‘All Made in Gujarat fabrications and components will be exported to JCB factories in UK, Brazil and in USA,’ he added.
‘When we talk about exports, normally it’s about the machines which go to South Asia or Middle Eaast or Africa, but I am very proud to mention that because of the focus that we have, our machines also go to USA, UK, Europe. We continuously focus on exporting to mroe and more countries. JCB’s Made in India products across its five factories in Delhi NCR< Vallabhgadh, Jaipur and Pune are exported to more than 110 countries around the world,' he said.
