Gujarat government replaces affidavit with self-declaration form

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has decided to implement the self-declaration process instead of the affidavit for verification for the services provided by various departments of the state government. The affidavit will continue in the cases where it is instructed to present the affidavit under the rules and regulations of the state or central government. The decision was declared in a statement by the general administration department of the state government.
The process of submitting the self-declaration form instead of affidavit from all the channels such as online, though app, through janseva kendra and in person, should be completed before 10th January 2022. The process of substituting affidavit with self-declaration form by national information center (NIC) for services provided under Apno Taluko Vibrant Taluko (ATVT)/ janseva kendra, digital seva setu should be completed before 10th January 2022.
If any false details will be provided in the self-declaration after cancellation of the affidavit, then the legal actions will be taken against the person by the related office under IPC sections 177, 191, and 199.
