Captain of fishing boat booked for entering no-fishing zone close to IMBL

Porbandar: Navi Bandar Police Station in Porbandar has filed a crime against captain (Tandel) of a fishing boat for entering into a no-fishing zone and risking lives of those aboard the fishing boat. A comptain was booked after the data of GPS (Global Positioning System) attached to the boat during investigation revealed that the boat had entered no-fishing zone twice before the incident of death of a sailor who was shot dead by Pakistani marines in November 2021 in sea.
As per police complaint lodged by Porbandar special operation group (SOG) Police Subs Inspector HC Gohil, Dilip alias Gado Natu Solanki- a captain of a fishing boat named Jalpari had entered no-fishing zone near Indo-Pak international maritime boundary line (IMBL) twice prior to 6th November 2021 along with 6 sailors.
Jalpari boat had departed for fishing on 26th October 2021. Pakistan marine security had entered the Indian maritime boundary and open fired on the boat in which one sailor named Shridhar had died. The police had then seized the GPS and undertook FSL investigation. DeshGujarat
