Yemen national who was in process to make AK47 rifle, held by Crime Branch of Ahmedabad Police

Ahmedabad: City police crime-branch has nabbed a citizen of Yemen for allegedly manufacturing the parts of AK 47 rifle in Ahmedabad.
The accused named Abdul Ajij Al Azzani- a citizen of Yemen had arrived in India on a medical visa for the medical treatment of his father. He then allegedly started manufacturing the parts of AK47 rifle and other high range rifles in various GIDCs of Ahmedabad.
He allegedly was to send 22 different parts to Yemen after manufacturing them in India. The team of the crime branch had found drawing for making 18 parts of rifles, and various catalogues of engineering companies from room number 211 of Hotel Sky In Two at Nikol ring road on 10th February.
The accused was living in Ahmedabad since January 1st. Accused had studied BSc IT. He had stayed in Mumbai during 2005-2011. He had managed to make five parts (dyes and moulds) of AK47 rifle through various factories in industrial areas of Ahmedabad city.
The accused’s friend Munir Mahmmad Kasim was also allegedly involved with him. A translator was also helping the accused.
