Environment clearance to proposed Aji Riverfront project in Rajkot

Rajkot: Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has received the environment clearance for the Aji riverfront project.
The state government has issued environment clearance after RMC resolved the queries of Gujarat Pollution Control Board. The work order is also allotted to the agency. RMC has started the work of the interceptor sewer line at present. The submission was made to the state expert appraisal committee for an environment clearance certificate for Aji riverfront development on 20th August. The committee had suggested some corrections after that.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1181 crore. Rs 191 crore was demanded from the state government for the financial year. HCP design planning and management private limited is appointed for preparing the master plan of the project. The agency is working in 3 phases 1) feasibility study of project 2) approval of various departments of state 3) final master plan- tendering. The work of the first phase is completed. DeshGujarat
