Gir Lion spotted in Ahmedabad district

Sabarmati: A lion has reached Baliyari forest area in Ahmedabad district from Gir.
The sources of the forest department informed that the location of a lion was found in Baliyari forest area in Ahmedabad district. Bhavnagar forest department had conveyed location details and alerted warning to Ahmedabad forest department. The live location of the lion was being tracked through the GPS radio collar attached in his leg.
The forest department has alerted the people living around the Baliyari jungle area. The jungle area is 140 km far from Ahmedabad city. The lion was found to be 5 km far from Bhavnagar kaliyar (blackbucks) national park. It is estimated that the lion is one of the three lions noticed at 100 km distance from Amreli a few days ago. Recently, a panther had died in an accident near Sarkhej in Ahmedabad district.
