March 07, 2022
By Mukesh Pandit in Bhavnagar: Ram Kathakar Morari Bapu announced Rs. 1.25 crore assistance to those affected from Ukraine crisis. He made this announcement during Ram Katha at Lonawala. Morari Bapu admired Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi and the Government of India for their commendable work under ‘Mission Ganga’ for those stuck in Ukraine.
It’s worth noting that Morari Bapu had made appeal to donate for under construction Ram janmabhumi Mandir in Ayodhya (Morari Bapu is single highest donor for Ram Janmabhumi Mandir construction). In response to which Rs. 19 crore sum was collected, of which Rs. 9 crore was donated by foreign based donors. However due to permission related issues, this sum from foreign donors couldn’t be deposited in India and therefore it has been safely kept abroad.
Rs. 1.25 crore sum for Ukraine relief has been transferred from this fund to ten different organizations active in Poland, Slovakia, Romania via London based Dolar Popat and his son Pavan Popat. The relief amount will be spent for evacuation efforts, lodging and boarding, medical aid and more. DeshGujarat
