Gandhinagar: The 121st meeting of Shri Somnath Trust was held at Raj Bhavan of Gujarat here. The meeting was chaired b Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.

The meeting took note of Shri Somnath Trust’s services during the cyclone last year.

A decision was taken to prepare a master plan through renown architect Bimal Patel for overall planning of Somnath, considering its future needs.

The meeting reviewed the progress of various works such as Parvati Mata Mandir, Safar Circle to Ram Mandir road, Triveni ghat development, pilgrim plaza among others.

A decision was taken to digitize the chopda (books) of Tirth Purohits and create even better facilities of lodging and boarding for pilgrims.

A decision was also taken to convert the Shikhar of Somnath Mandir golden in order to revive its glorious past.

The meeting was attended by Trustees including union Home minister Amit Shah, local JD Parmar, Harshvardhan Neotia, PK Lehri physically. Former Dy Prime Minister LK Advani joined the meeting online. DeshGujarat
