AAP Gujarat chief drags a child for political point scoring; Tweeples criticize him

Gandhinagar: Stooping further low in political discourse, the president of Aam Admi Party (AAP) in Gujarat, Gopal Italia today dragged a small child of minister into political point scoring.

Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi had posted a video of his son Arush singing a rap song with other children. The lyrics were about Gujarati persons’ ambition to go to America and stay in big hotels. As Harsh Sanghavi tweeted the video, Italiya choose to troll him and posted tweet addressing Arush, a child who has hardly anything to do with politics.

Italia replied, “Hello Beta. You will go to America, have thepla, visit good hotels of the world but will you study at a government school of Gujarat? Will you stand in the queue for government jobs? Will you repeatedly go to government offices to get income or caste certificates? Or will you keep having fun as your father is a minister?”

Scrores users criticized the reply of Gujarat AAP chief Gopal Italia. A user named Neel Mehta replied, “It is a very reprehensible thing that a state chief of a party can use such low level language for a child.” The user further tagged AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and wrote, “Look after your state chief”

A user named Atul Modi wrote, “Does such language suit you, Gopalbhai? Being a leader, you could write this thing very well. It is just enjoyment for the child. I didn’t expect that you would drag politics into it and make such low level comment. Writing ‘sorry’ was also required.”

Another user named Komal replied, “You brought politics also into a little child’s innocent fun? Do you also see politics in everything similar to Kejriwal? Do you have such a low level mentality?”

Another user named Malavpati replied, “Only a weak and immoral political leader can target an innocent little child of someone. AAP will do all which should not be done in public life. Gopal Italia speaks anything for sants and children today. What will he do after coming into power? Gujarat is watching everything. We will remember all.

Leading journalist Janak Dave also objected Italiya’s remark over a child. He tweeted: Gopalbhai, you are in active politics. Such remark on a child is not fine at all….
