Ahmedabad – Bhuj air connectivity likely from June this year: Gujarat govt

Gandhinagar: The state government informed in reply to a question at the state assembly on Thursday that the air connectivity services between Ahmedabad and Bhuj is likely to start from 1st June under Viability Grant Funding scheme.
The state government informed that air connectivity is established on 6 routes under VGF scheme of state government as of 31st January 2022. These routes are Rajkot-Porbandar, Ahmedabad-Kandala, Surat-Ahmedabad, Surat-Rajkot, Surat-Amreli and Surat-Bhavnagar. The 2 routes are started under UDAN scheme of central government which are Ahmedabad-Porbandar and Ahmedabad-Kandala, informed the state government.
The state government stated in reply to a question that it was declared to start the flight connecting Sabarmati Riverfront to Shetrunjay dam in 2019 under UDAN scheme but it has not started yet. The flight service connecting Jamnagar to Delhi, Goa and Hindan was to be started from 2019 but it hasn’t started yet. Similarly, the flight services from Statue of Unity to Surat and Keshod to Mumbai also haven’t started. DeshGujarat
