Gujarat govt extends the term of DGP Ashish Bhatia for two months

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has extended the term of DGP Ashish Bhatia for two more months. With this he will now continue to serve on the post of State police chief (DGP) for two more months. The year 1985 batch IPS officer Ashish Bhatia was born on 10 – 5 – 1962.
With two-month extension to Bhatia, the path of appointing Sanjay Srivastava as new DGP will be clear, as IPS TS Bist (30 – 6 – 1962 born), senior to Srivastava and number one in hierarchy after DGP Ashish Bhatia will retire meanwhile. Bist is DGP (CID Crime and Railways). Srivastava is Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad city. Next in hierarchy after Srvastava is Atul Karwal, DG of NDRF presently in New Delhi. DeshGujarat
